PREPARATION
Keep frozen until ready to prepare.
In the Oven (preferred method): Remove lid from top of baking pan by uncrimping foil, and place pan in pre-heated (350 degrees F) oven. Bake Dinner Roast as follows: Frozen 80-90 minutes. Thawed 45-50 minutes. Remove Dinner Roast from baking pan and slice to desired serving size.
In the Microwave: Remove frozen Dinner Roast from baking pan by uncrimping foil, taking off lid, and inverting the pan. Place frozen Dinner Roast in a glass loaf pan or on a microwave safe plate. Cover with waxed paper. Cook on defrost setting for approximately 20 minutes, then cook on High setting for another 20 minutes or until an internal temperature of 160 degrees F is reached. (Refer to the instructions for your microwave oven. Microwave ovens vary. Times given are approximate.) Remove from oven; cover tightly with foil, and let stand approximately 10 minutes.
PREPARATION
CLASSIC TURKEY STUFFING
INGREDIENTS
2 small onions diced
4 stalks celery diced
⅔ cup butter
1 ½ teaspoons poultry seasoning or ½ teaspoon ground sage
Black pepper to taste
Salt to taste
12 cups bread cubes
3-4 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoons fresh parsley
½ tablespoon each of fresh herbs: sage, thyme, and rosemary
2 cups diced vegan turkey (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C)
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, celery, poultry seasoning and fresh herbs. Cook over medium heat until tender (do not brown), about 10-12 minutes.
- Mix bread cubes with onion, celery and fresh herb mixture.
- Pour broth overtop until cubes are moist (but not soggy) and gently toss. You may not need all of the broth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- (Optional) Add diced vegan turkey to the mix. (vegan chicken works as well)
- Place mixture in a serving dish, dot with additional butter and cover.
- Bake 35 minutes, uncover and stir (may be portioned into oven safe individual serving dishes) then baked an additional 10 minutes.
- Garnish and serve with a side of mushroom gravy and cranberry relish!
KETO INSTRUCTIONS
(about 5 net carbs per serving)
Use zero carb or low carb Keto Bread for your Bread Cubes.
Make your own cranberry relish by boiling fresh cranberries with zero carb sugar and adding cornstarch to thicken! Corn Starch adds about 1 net carb per serving. You can use Guar gum as a thickener instead of corn starch.
