To Our Valued Customers: Over the past two months we have been closely monitoring the developing COVID-19 situation which as you are aware, has now progressed to the point where it has begun to materially change our daily lives.
In an abundance of caution, we are prioritizing the safety and health of our employees, employees’ families, and the community at large, while striving to meet the enormous responsibilities associated with being a manufacturer of quality food products such as those produced under the WORTHINGTON brand since 1939. In order to achieve this goal, Heritage Health Food, Inc. will enact portions of our business continuity plan in response to the World Health Organization’s declaration of the coronavirus as a global pandemic and in accordance with the U.S. Government and U.S. Center for Disease Control’s guidance for enhanced workplace safety.
Heritage Health Food, Inc. remains “open for business” but is making the following changes:
- All meetings will be handled via phone call or video conference call.
- Non-essential, non-emergency business travel has been suspended until further notice.
- Our corporate office and production facilities are accessible to employees and are regularly and systematically disinfected but will remain closed to the public until further notice. A work-from-home policy is in place wherever roles permit, and daily wellness screenings conducted by a registered nurse have been implemented.
- We have also implemented incremental sanitation and food safety measures above and beyond the already stringent safety procedures in place to ensure our quality standards are maintained.
- Identified and activated secondary sources all along our supply chain to ensure availability and continuous flow of necessary inputs so that we can continue our operations without interruption.
At Heritage Health Food, we understand our role within the national and global food supply chain is more vital than ever. We take the responsibilities of being a provider of quality plant-based meats along with the safety and wellbeing of our employees, our customers, and our loyal consumers very seriously and remain committed to finding a solution that works for the greater good as we strive together to work through this unprecedented situation.
